Help us make it rightWe have a small menu of espresso drinks, drip coffee, our New Orleans iced coffee, a few cookies from the cute girls at Miette Cakes, and biscotti from Pizzetta 211. We offer beans to sell, dropped off Tuesday morning, Wednesday evening and Saturday morning. We use Clover organic milk, and organic sugar.
The Blue Bottle Coffee Company at Linden Street is less cafe and more kiosk, but that shouldn't in any way deter anyone craving a steaming hot cuppa from visiting. The tiny ten-by-ten stand offers customers authentic, organic blends that are sure to send true connoisseurs to true caffeine heavenbe sure to try Freeman's Three African's Blend, or then the Yemen Sana'ani espresso. Sip on a piping...
You can be assured of two things at Blue Bottle--great coffee and lines of people who love it. A quintessential San Francisco experience!
San Francisco’s famous Blue Bottle Coffee got its start at this fashionably small kiosk in a gritty Hayes Valley alleyway. Customers line up at all hours for espresso drinks, Beehouse drip coffee, and New Orleans iced coffee. The kiosk also sells coffee beans but only accepts cash. As always, the wait for even a plain cup of Blue Bottle joe is excruciating. Other locations.
The coffee here is delicious. You will absolutely get a perfect cappuccino every time, but the real reason to visit is their made-to-order Belgian waffles. Yum.
This little alley storefront is my favorite place for Blue Bottle. There's rarely a line and the coffee is phenomenal. On a warm day, I love their New Orleans style iced coffee.
This alleyway coffee kiosk was the first location of the cult East Bay-based roaster, thought by many to make the best cup in San Francisco. Neighborhood locals and coffee cognescenti line up for...
Wonderful taste and well balanced espresso, the milk tends to have great texture and consistently good lattes. Also a smaller version called a Gibraltar, which is the same as a Cortado, perfect...
Stumbled across this walk-up Blue Bottle location while making my way to Alamo Square, and had to get my fix while in San Francisco. This coffee really is fantastic, and I love the lattes. Add...
This place is sort of a hole-in-the-wall coffee stand, and I would not have thought twice about going here had there not been the massive line of locals. I ordered a latte with almond milk. It...

Coffee, espresso drinks and refreshing iced coffee are a few of the options at Blue Bottle Coffee Kiosk. For treats they have cookies and biscotti.
We have an odd but convivial coffee kiosk in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley. We opened the kiosk in our friend Loring’s garage in January 2005. Linden Street at the time was a dead-end alleyway that smelled like pee, so there was a certain amount of head-scratching that winter. Now, thanks to our customers and a cadre of highly professional baristas, the alleyway is one of the unlikely urban...

Named after a 17th-century Viennese coffeehouse, Blue Bottle nurtures an insatiable need to produce the freshest, best and most environmentally-friendly coffees in the area. The two-person operation maintains strict quality control by roasting in small batches, not selling coffee more than 48 hours out of the roaster, and insisting on only organic, pesticide-free beans. The difference in taste...
What to Drink: A dash of chicory gives the sweet New Orleans-style iced coffee a subtle kick.
The Extras: Don't miss the delicious, organic ginger scones.
