Spent the night at the Aloft, wonderful view of Tiger Stadium and only a block from the Fillmore. The staff was really nice, especially, Bryant, who went out of his way to be accommodating. Will most certainly return. Lots to do in Detroit.
Excellent location to stay in downtown Detroit. The rooms are a 5 star the building is a 5 star.. The people mover has a station there but other trasportation to casino or other local attractions is by cab or foot only. The car parking is by vala only. This area is definitely improving with a great coffe house and restaurants well within walking distance.
Gorgeous, newly refurbished modern rooms in a deco-era office building, right near Comerica Park and the downtown business district. My only complaint is that parking is $30 a night by valet and there is no self-park option. They do allow unlimited in-and-out privileges during the 24-hour timeframe.
