A genteel spot for breakfast, lunch, or tea with scones, this eatery is above George Watts & Sons, Milwaukee's premier store for china, crystal, and silver, on the east side of downtown. Indulge in fresh-squeezed juice and a custard-filled sunshine cake.

Good food; inexpensive but needs a facelift

Although Watt's has a long history in Milwaukee, the store keeps downsizing, and the Tea Shop needs major renovation. I understand the Watt's family has done some updates, but the Tea Shop seriously needs renovation not just new carpet and paint. It is not quite The Drake in Chicago or Bergdorf Goodman in New York. Ladies who lunch in Milwaukee...

Watts Tea Room is the place two friends and I chose for a holiday luncheon. I had never been there, and found it to be delightful. This restaurant is a Milwaukee institution, and reservations are recommended, especially around the holidays.
I chose A Walk in the Woods, described in the menu as “an earthy omelet experience with sautéed cremini mushrooms...

If you are visiting from out of town, and want a great breakfast away from your hotel, check out the Watts Tea Room on Jefferson St., across from the Pister Hotel. Open at 9:00 they offer outstanding choices for either a light or harty breakfast. The English muffins are all home made and unbelievable. I'm partial to the Kisch, which...

I took my Mom, Sister, Niece and Daughter here. For a Mother's Day tea and it was a lovely time! An afternoon I will always treasure! The tea selection was wonderful and I am more of a coffee drinker but I was quite impressed! We also enjoyed some delicious tea sandwiches and deserts. What a fun time enjoying a traditional...

A great place to have tea! The tea was very good, though at least two of us thought it should be served hotter. The sunshine cake was over-hyped. It was good, but nothing I would get again. Would probably go again.

Turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary one with a visit to the George Watts Tea Shop. Situated above Watts crystal, silver and china shop, this quaint, intimate tearoom begins serving breakfast at 9am. After enjoying macadamia nut croissant French toast, or a roasted vegetable omelette, with pastries and a strong cup of coffee, head downstairs to do a little shopping. A little later in the...
