Downtown itself is in desperate need of small grocer or convenience store, but this one is about the closest. Always good produce, very friendly service, even lots of recycled-content and environmentally preferred products are now being offered in this "big-chain" store that feels more like a neighborhood corner store.
I've lived downtown for quite a while and have always enjoyed my trip to this store. Everyone is friendly and cheerful and makes shopping an enjoyable experience. I've never been dissatisfied with the produce selection (I'm almost a vegetarian). They just went thru a renovation and were all smiles during it. Other stores should take notes.
