The Plush Horse Restaurant Review

Expect good ice cream with a side of nostalgia at this Palos Park parlor, where more than 30 flavors promise a fine licking and sipping experience. Specialties include banana splits, malts, shakes and sundaes, but plenty of folks go for straight-up cones in flavors like brownie batter and vibrantly hued blue moon. Those who are more waistline-conscious can consider the fruity smoothies instead....

Open year-round, this nostalgic ice-cream parlor is a favorite for families and groups

Have a chocolate malt which was one of the best I ever had. Busy little place this afternoon. Parking was sorta full at least along the street. Can't wait to return there. ?

Great Selection - Average Ice Cream

Like many others who've reviewed this shop, I've been coming here for years. It's a quaint little ice cream shop that has the feel of a family/local place.
If you're going in the summer time, expect a wait. I have seen lines outside the building in the summer months. The service can vary. At times they have been very friendly,...

This is the kind of place I love. Serve me the best you can. Make the portion size big and satisfying and charge me whatever it costs. I don't like places that reduce their portion size or reduce the quality of ingredients used in their products in order to keep their price low. Plush Horses serves up the best ice...

Delicious home made ice cream

Ever since I tried this ice cream place in 2011, I have been hooked because of how good their ice creams were. I always get their Pistachio or Rocky Road. Their Chocolate Mousse isn't bad either, my fiancé loves it. They also sell a pint for $8.00 and after buying 10, you can have your 11th one for free. If...

Old Fashioned Parlor with new flavors

I have come here several times with friends and it's been a staple every time I visit Chicago Metro. Their portions are huge, the ice cream is always fresh and delicious. They have many unique flavors and they allow you to get two different flavors, even if you just get one scoop (even though it's more like two). This place...

Try over 50 flavors of homemade ice cream at this local institution. The Plush Horse first opened its doors in 1937 and has been recently remodeled with an outdoor courtyard. It remains a nostalgic favorite for frozen treats, coffee, baked goods and other snacks. The scoops are enormous, as are their delicious waffle cones.
