Mercato Tomato Pie

Great Thin Crust Pizza at Mercato Tomato Pie in Downtown Newark. Oh the coal oven makes the most delicious Pizza. We had the Margherita Pizza with a sangria wine it was incredible, so flavorful ! This is a must try if you love Pizza. A classic pie !!!! Will make this a regular spot for my family !! We stopped in here before concert at the Prudential Center it is right across the street !!!

What a surprise! I have been to Italy several times and this pizza tasted just like the pizza there! The salad was surprisingly good too! Cool casual decor and really friendly charming staff. A great casual place for a meal before an event at the Prudential Center or NJPAC

UPDATE: I've been informed that they offer student discount with valid ID. Despite this, I will still be looking for my pizza fix elsewhere. Was worth a try, but just not enough to bring me back for more. Especially with the odd experience with their service. I also did not mention, if you order at the counter …
