They were not good. I made phone calls from place to place and learned alot about this transmission. A friend suggested Aamco so I gave them a call. For my vehical 1700-2800. With the 2800 I would get a 3yr 36000 mile warrenty. Sounded good. Then they broke a a rod in the transfer case and were going to charge meEEE. It was stated that they did not know the transfer case was part of the tranny. Everone else knew it. I ended up with a quote of 3500. I disagreed and and they agreed to fix the tranny for 2800 which was the origanal quote and provide the warrenty. I went to pay and...

KOK Oil was initially recommended to me by a colleague about ten years ago. I've been taking my car there ever since. The owner, Kevin, is a really good guy. I can't emphasize this enough. He's very honest, competent, thorough, down to earth, and has a lot of integrity. He explains everything in understandable terms -- i.e. doesn't talk down or use jargon. I'm a single woman who 's had some bad experiences with mechanics in the past. But not since finding Kevin / KOK. He's also a nice person -- a dad who coaches his son's sports team.
