A working cathedral, Sacramento's Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament celebrates Catholic mass daily. Tours are offered on Sundays and Wednesdays for visitors interested in learning more about the cathedral, which is modeled after L'Eglise de la Sainte-Trinite in Paris. The cathedral's 110-foot-high dome, stained glass windows and 13-foot crucifix are architectural draws.

Sacramento's Cathedral of the Blessed Sacramento was completed in 1889, and was recently renovated to return it to the majesty originally contemplated by Bishop Patrick Manogue.
