Bayou Place, Houston's largest entertainment complex, is a 130,000-square-foot, two-story center of evening activity, with restaurants, clubs, a movie theater, and a live music venue.

Bayou Place's Angelika Film Center, a spin-off of the famous NYC cinema, screens independent, and foreign films. 713/225–5232. www.angelikafilmcenter.com.

Formerly Houston's convention center, this entertainment complex in the heart of the theater district rents space to several venues. Concert Venue for downtown

The main thing we like about going to Bayou Place are the restaurants around it, the ease of parking and the actual venue itself. The acoustics are good and the access is easy.

The seats in front of you are so close that walking down the rows is very difficult. The area you are given to set in is so small that you will be touching the person...

I have been to Bayou Place (formerly the Verizon Center) three times over the years - the first time was to see Oasis (when the Gallagher boys were not squabbling so much), the second time was for Megadeth, and this week, I have been to See Alice Cooper.
The venue is easy to get to downtown, and there is lots...

Tips on where to sit at Bayou Music Center

Saw Dancing With The Stars-or tried to. Don't bother paying extra for floor seats. The stage is so low and folding seats are all at the same level, so it's nearly impossible to see what's happening on the stage. It doesn't help that people are holding their cell phones above everyone to film and there is no policy against it...
